1. Overview
Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training is a scholarship program funded by the Indonesian government through the use of National Trust for Education Development (DPPN) and is managed by LPDP to finance the pursue of medical residency in Indonesian universities.
This scholarship aims to support the supply of educated and qualified Indonesian human resources who also possess leadership quality and a strong vision as the future leader of Indonesia. Such commitment is carried out through the provision of scholarship funding for medical residency programs in top Indonesian universities to those applicants who fulfill the qualifications established by LPDP.
The applicants targeted for Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training are Indonesian citizens with excellent academic achievement and strong leadership quality who wish to continue pursuing studies on graduate medical training programs in universities targeted by LPDP.
The disciplines aimed for by Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training are listed according to priority:
Obstetrics & Gynecology,Pediatrics Specialist,Specialist Internal Medicine,Anaesthesiology,Surgeon,Radiology,Clinical Pathology,Medical Rehabilitation.And possible other specialist programs on the list LPDP.
2. Applicants Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for applicants of Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training are depicted on the following lists of general and specific requirements:
2.1. General Requirement
Applicants of the Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training are those who fulfilled the following specifications:
Indonesian citizen (WNI);Has completed an undergraduate program of study and profession of doctors from:Universities in Indonesia which has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT), orUniversities abroad who have registered by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.Physicians who have a Certificate of Registration (STR) issued by KKI,Has the character of leadership, professionalism, nationalism, patriotism, integrity,Have confidence, perseverance, self-reliance, maturity in managing emotions, and adaptability,Participate in social / science / innovation / creativity / culture activities,Willing to sign an affidavit stating that the applicant:Willing to return to Indonesia after completion of studies,Not receiving / will receive a scholarship from another source,Do not engage in activities / actions that violate the law, or to join the organization as opposed to the ideology of Pancasila,Never / will be involved in activities / actions that violate the code of Academic ethics,Always serve for the Indonesian people,Always be faithful to the Republic of Indonesia,Able to meet the requirements set by scholarships LPDP,Willing to serve in the 3T or certain other areas with similar characteristics to the duration of the study period if required by the government based on placement by the Ministry of Health,Delivering the correct data and documents, according to original documents and willing to accept the legal sanctions that apply if the document is invalid.Has received permission from the director at work,The certificate of good healthy condition and drug free expressed by doctors of Government Hospital,Has been getting a recommendation from community leaders to those who have / not working, or the recommendation of the director at work,Choose courses and universities in accordance with the provisions of LPDP,Write an essay (500 to 700 words) with the theme: "My contribution for Indonesia: contribution has been, is and will I do for the community / organization / institution / profession " and " Greatest Success in My Life ",If there is falsification of data or documents, the applicant is declared void and not eligible to apply again in LPDP,Submit Letter of Good Behavior / Surat Keterangan Catatan kepolisian (SKCK) carried at the time of interviews selection,Willing to serve in the 3T or certain other areas with similar characteristics to the duration of the study period if required by the government based on placement by the Ministry of Health
2.2. Specific Requirements
Applicants for the Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training are those who fulfill the following requirements:
The maximum age of the applicant on 31 December in the year of registration is 35 (thirty five) years,Has completed a program of study at undergraduate / bachelor of applied and does not apply to those who have completed a master's program both within and outside the country,Having a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) Unconditional from university in the list of LPDP.If you do not have Letter of Acceptance (LoA) Unconditional (point c), you shall have the minimum cumulative grade point average (IPK) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 for combined undergraduate GPA and have a non-expired official document (ets.org or ielts.org) to certify the English proficiency, or other languages as determined by LPDP: The minimum scores: TOEFL ITP® 500 / iBT® 61 / IELTS™ 6.0 / TOEIC® 600.Item 1) is exempted for those who complete higher education that uses English as the language of instruction of academic. Duplicate certificate of graduation is used as a substitute for the TOEFL requirement, with a validity period of 2 (two) years since the certificate was issued.Study plan and proposal in specialist field will be taken.Schedule of study plan begins not less then six (6) months after the closing of registration in each selection period.Able to complete the study program of specialist education within the established period of their respective specialist fields.
3. Components of Funding
To support the smooth running and success of further studies on specialist education program are given assistance funds for education that includes the following components:
Cost Of EducationAdmission fee (at cost),Tuition fee: Education Operational assistance, implementation of hospital education, compulsory training courses, scientific papers, exam skills, clinical lab, and matriculation non language (at cost),Non-tuition fee, which can be used for book allowances (per year), thesis / dissertation (package), seminars (package), publications (at cost), graduation (at cost) and national examinations (package).Support costsTransportation fees from the region of origin to the target university and back (once, at cost);The basic health insurance,On the monthly / living allowance (package),Allowances family (dependents) for a maximum of 2 people (package),Arrival / settlement allowance (package),Emergencies/force majeure agreed upon by LPDP.
4. Application Period
Application of Scholarship for Graduate Medical Training is open throughout the year, with 4 (four) times selection process in March, June, September, and December. (Download the application and selection schedule here).

BPI Selection stages are as follows:
RegistrationApplicants fill out an online registration form on the official website of LPDP;Applicants complete all required documents and all relevant supporting documents, and upload all of them on the official website of LPDP;All documents in points 1.b above must be brought at the selection stage of interview after passed the administrative selection.Administrative Selection
Registrants which are processed in this stage have completed and submited the registration data in the online registration in each selection period. This selection is the process of checking the completeness of the data and documents of applicants in accordance with the applicable requirements in the LPDP.Interview Selection, Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD) and On the Spot Essay WritingParticipants who pass the administrative selection on the online registration eligible for interviews selection, Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD), and On the Spot Essay Writing.In this stage of the selection process, participants are required to bring the entire original data and documents that have been used for BPI scholarship registration. If one does not submit that original data and documents as well as documents and the data is not in accordance with the applicable requirements of LPDP then he/she is not allowed to participate in the Interview Selection, Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD) and On the Spot Essay Writing.For participants who do not pass the interviews Selection have 1 (one) more opportunity to register again in BPI Scholarship.Determination of BPI AwardeeResults of interviews selection, Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD) and On the Spot Essay Writing Scholarship Indonesia conveyed to applicants through the online registration applicants account, email or other electronic media according to the time specified by the LPDP.Participants who passed into awardees will follow courses Departures (Persiapan keberangkatan - PK) before starting studies at the university. Sanctions imposed on BPI awardee if one do violations as follows:in the future proved not qualified for BPI,in the future convicted of falsification of documents,are not reported on the development of study or not get reasonable results within the stipulated time;resigns in the span of the study time;are sentenced to either civil or criminal for violating the laws of the country where study conducted;proved get scholarship funding from other resource at the same time;founded for plagiarism;proved to follow the activities / organizations that are contrary to Pancasila and endanger the Homeland security;have completed the study and refused to return and serve to Indonesia due to get a job abroad without the permission of LPDP.
